On Tuesday 5 April 2011, 1000hrs, Vince McNeese and myself met with the Governor’s Veterans Advocacy Council in Columbia. The council has (2d year) been attempting to keep Veterans issues on the state’s political agendas through this awareness day. Last year’s (the first) was poorly attended by both veterans and legislators despite having an excellent keynote speaker and other venues. Hopefully this years will be more productive in attendance of both veterans and legislators. Attached for your news letters and emails to members is the “working” document/program for this years event please note the keynote speaker is Gov Niki Haley. Widest dissemination and distribution is appreciated. Every Chapter get a car load up and show your chapter colors.

I went to this last year. It’s really of great benefit to all military personelle! I hope to see a lot of other chapters there from MOAA this year. If you want to go, let the President know and she will be helping to arrange carpooling down there.
